Liverpool doing what they failed to do against Everton and Aston Villa that made them draw those two games but the difference is that they are doing it too early. Manchester City playing very well but can't finish off their nice play, Doku really giving AA a hard time in that wing. As it stands Liverpool is ahead of Manchester City with 20 points difference, I don't think any team has ever had that much points against Pep's side until now.
I won't hurriedly give them the three points just yet. Even though they are playing brilliantly, things could still turn around in the second half. In the case of Aston Villa, Liverpool had to beg for a point when they settled for a draw. Who's to say that Man City won't be doing the same thing, struggling to get goals to at least secure one point?
Man City have never lost to Liverpool at home under Pep so it would be a battle of wills when the second half comes up. What I'm trying to understand is why Pep Guardiola didn't play Erling Haaland cause I feel it's games like this the Norwegian is needed because no one on the team is tall enough to finish those high balls that keep coming in.
