That would mean waiting to heal to to fight not for the title and wait his turn again for him to fight for the title... Lol. It just doesn't make sense.
It all makes sense if you consider that the primary goal for most fighters is money, not belts. Topuria could probably earn more for non-title fights in the lightweight than for title defenses in the featherweight. That's unless he gets humiliated by Islam and his hype-train gets derailed.
Did anyone watch Cejudo vs. Song fight? It was a terrible eyepoke, Henry's eye was bleeding and people were booing him, some fans are crazy.
I've only seen highlights. Henry looked good but that eye poke was really bad, so I'm not surprised he couldn't continue. He probably got booed because of: 1) people being retarded; 2) people thinking he tried to end the fight by disqualification.
