bitcoin serves same purpose as a currency that is of the people, that is created by a man or group of people that are concerned about the welfare of the people and that is at the same time created to serve the needs of the people and cover for the lapses of the government. a society, individual or government that believes and preaches democracy should natural want to adapt bitcoin since it aligns with her vision.
Agreed Bitcoin promote freedom and decentralisation but it was not created to improve the welfare of the people. Bitcoin I just a currency and an asset that can be used for financial transactions and investments. Your analogy that people who like democracy should naturally like Bitcoin might not be accurate. Democracy is a type of government while Bitcoin is a currency. Some people might like freedom of speech, movement, worship, etc but they don't want the financial system of the government to be decentralised. They can give you many reasons why currency should be issued by a central government. But just as you said an individual who loves freedom in all aspects of life will naturally like Bitcoin.
