In terms of turning passions to profit, it is way harder to earn from a hobby that was self taught than to earn from other skills or jobs or as an employee under a boss.
I think those who are crazy enough to turn their hobbies into a source of income and attain wealth unimaginable in the end know how hard it is to be patient, consistent and persistent despite criticisms and many setbacks, to get to where they are today as successful.
This is so true those that have hard time getting monetization from their hobbies need to endure all of those disappointing moments because they just can't make money from that asap. But it takes time and those that are patient enough really gets the passion they like and able to turn it into profitable one. They only have to follow their passion and sure to it that there is a direction where it is going. Not all are successful but it's a dream come true that you get to do what you like and at the same time, you're earning from it.

Whereas those who get employed and have to work to earn a salary or earn from a skill that was learned somehow, don't encounter this much difficulty that may lead to financial freedom and breakthrough.
What do you think?
I won't invalidate them, they also have their own struggle. We cannot measure how tough they have to go through just for them to learn a skill or two and then earn from it. The situation is tough today and so, let's all count everyone's hardship and way of dealing the difficulties that we're all having.
