The premier league is a highly competitive one, though Manchester City made it look real easy 3 seasons back because, that’s when they became consistent and dominant in the league. Any team they were faced with always came back with some terrific result and they just win the league because they want to as they can. Now, the case is a lot more different for Manchester City. They are at the end of the whip now and yesterday’s game proves it. They played the league leaders where they would have hoped to gain in on those points but, couldn’t make nothing of their plays. At the Etihad,,, that’s unheard of!
Of course, Arsenal will only keep on trying and it seems that the best Arsenal can get close to is the second position, because if Liverpool wins the title this season, it will be three times that Arsenal have settled down for second position.
It means that Arsenal are not worrhy to be called the title contenders because they are only playing to settle for second position and they are not after winning the title. I think Arsenal is a distraction to other clubs who will love to compete for the title because their own is initial pressure.
Arsenal are not ready to be league leaders yet, perhaps if they are able to increase their club depth to manage the little injuries and fatigue that occur in the team, they would be able to hold on to the league.
