Manchester City sold the second option of a striker that they have to Atletico Madrid, and they depended on Haaland all season long to deliver. There was no way he was not going to get injured at some point from starting and playing all the games for Manchester City this season in all the competitions. Also, with how disorganized Manchester City are in defense currently, this will not be their last loss. Finishing in top four may be even difficult.
What are you trying to say here mate? Manchester City played excellently yesterday and the problem was not even from their attack but the defense was terrible which was the reason for their defeat. When everybody is healthy, City was not doing extremely badly but things took another direction now.
Quite alright, Alvarez is a good player but he can't play well consistently in the premier league. He's good at other leagues. It was just unfortunate that Haaland couldn't play otherwise it would have been a more interesting game to watch. The biggest problem for Pep to solve now is the defense because City have had a crap defense all season and very slow build up when going forward.
