There’s no need to make things harder for ourselves. If we’re afraid of losing money, then we shouldn’t be gambling in the first place. That’s just how gambling works, you win some, you lose some. But if someone still forces themselves to gamble despite that fear it could lead to addiction. why? Because the fear of losing might push them to chase losses, trying to recover every time they lose.

In short, gambling isn’t for the reckless, it’s for those who are smart enough to understand risk management.
This is the trap I fell into many years ago. First, I lost a lot of money, and then I wanted to win it all back, but this led to losses that were incomparable with my income. I had to ask banks for a loan. Do you understand? I went to a bank to borrow money to gamble? Naturally, the reason given was completely different, but this does not change the main point. In the end, I received these funds. And what do you think happened? Of course, this money was also wasted. It was a total failure in my life. Everything went to hell. What happened next? That's a separate story.
Sad story but that's how gambling can be if you played too much. I always check my online money and cash first before I deposit and I think about all the expenses that I will make before I receive my salary again. That's what I do to keep myself disciplined and most of the time I send the online money to my wife so that I will not be able to reach it and use it to deposit again. I just leave some spare so I can still play but once it's all gone then I am done. Right now, I am already on my 4th day not playing any slot game and I am liking the results. I become more productive in both our house chores and my job and there's less stress. I just bet on NBA games and I don't really put high amounts and most of the time I will get ROI.
It is true, if we are too afraid to lose money or we don't have any courage to place a bet then might as well just forget about it because it's going to hurt more if we continue.
