Lyon couldn't reduce the number of goals that was scored against them as PSG was able to secure three points and further strength their position on the table and at this point they are now the very likely team towing without having others contending well against them.In every match, PSG continues to show their dominance through ball possession and the many attacks they make. In that match, even though Lyon was able to rise towards the end of the match, no matter how hard they tried, Lyon had fallen behind PSG by more goals so that in the end defeat was inevitable and PSG won 3 points.
Does it mean that there's no other French club that can actually give Paris Saint Germaine a good run for their money? I know that the French champions have been the best performing team in the league this season but I expected Lyon to force PSG to drop points in their game today but it seems Luis Enrique's men are absolutely unstoppable in the league at the moment. 23 games have been played so far in the league which means that there are 11 more games to play but with 13 points above second placed Marseille in the French league table, it's almost certain that PSG will successfully defend the title again. PSG's dominance is making the French league more boring than any of the other top five leagues in Europe and if nothing is done about it, more football fans across the globe will lose interest in the league
Teams that at the beginning of the season were able to compete with PSG's performance and compete at the top of the standings, when they reached the middle of the season, they really lost their consistency and had to lag far behind PSG.
