Before Derek Cornelius received a red card, Marseille was still able to maintain the rhythm of the match well even though they had conceded since the 35th minute, the lack of players made it difficult for Marseille to keep up with Auxerre, the visiting team had several opportunities to catch up, but their efforts were still very easily thwarted by the home team's players.

At this moment, I don't think it's debatable again that Paris Saint Germaine are going to retain the French league title at the end of the season. Their defeat at Auxerre over the weekend came as a surprise to me because but I think it was Derek Cornelius' red card that aided the home team to win that game. At the moment, I think the best Marseille can do is to fight to maintain their current position in the league table so they'll be guaranteed UEFA Champions League football next season.
