I don't if gambling blogs have testimonies of some addicted gamblers who have stopped gambling. Because most of these blogs are filled with lies and scam comments from their own network to trick people into reading their articles. But there is something I know for sure is that, I have seen addicted gamblers changed their perspective from gambling irresponsibly to responsible gambling just from advice and experience. Even here in this forum we have few persons who have dropped the attitude of addiction and are now better gamblers compared to what they were. I myself was somewhat addicted along the way but I quickly made some changes when I discovered how things were moving up side down.
Like all sectors, the control over scientific studies is exercised by the major players in the sector, as academic scientific research is forced to deal with gambling companies to complete research and studies that serve scientific progress in the scientific field and academic research. Gambling blogs, including scientific blogs, are funded and encouraged by the gambling companies themselves, including by commissioning online activists to publish articles that do not contain content that harms the interests of those companies.
