It's great to see that Feyenoord has faith in him and has entrusted him with the responsibility. Robin Van Persie had an illustrious playing career starting from Feyenoord, before making his mark at Arsenal and later Manchester United, RVP was one of the world's most lethal strikers in his day.
I hope he can bring the same level of excellence and leadership to Feyenoord. His deep understanding of the game and experience at the highest level could be the key to his success. It will be interesting to watch how he develops in his new role from player to manager.
While it's always fun to see a new manager rise up, and hopefully does well too, it's also quite important to remember that we are talking about someone who hasn't achieved anything anywhere yet, so it is likely that he may not do that great.
We have seen Kompany got the job at Bayern, without ever having success anywhere, and he did alright because it's Bayern, even we could do great at Bayern, how hard could it be with such squad, but when it comes to Feyenoord, it would be quit enough for RVP to get a great result, not going to win a title most probably, so it's going to be quite tough, at the end of the day we are going to see this have a lot better result, and we just need to make sure we can check his system out first, because what system he will play, will decide not just his career here, but probably his long term career too.
