Overtime online gambling has become very popular, many people prefer to use websites and apps to bet on their favorite sports and casino games. This has made gambling very convenient and easily accessible, it's actually why people get addicted to it. Anyone who has a smartphone won't see the need of going to a bet center to gamble. The world has gone digital, but is this causing more harm than good?. land based casinos and bet shops require you to leave your house but online gambling is available, people can gamble from the comfort of their home whenever and however they want. This has made a lot of people addicted, some started by staking low amounts but overtime they found themselves gambling with large amounts of money. Easy access to gambling websites can make it harder to stop and this might lead to a serious issue. Most people think they are in Control of theirself or just playing to have fun but they don't notice that it's turning into an habit. Online gambling has made more addicts than offline gambling.

Every gambling activity can lead to more addiction depending on the way you often gamble on them. Before the introduction of online gambling, bet shops are in existence and that did not stop us from seeing gamblers that are addicted at that time, so I see no reason why we should think the nature of gambling now brings about more addiction than the old method of gambling, going to bet shops and casinos to play a game.

Controlling your gambling habit is important whether online or offline, once you an addict, nothing can stop you from going to where suits your mind and gives you comfort. Even when people see it as a very difficult task to achieve, you’ll see it as something simple you will do without been stressed. Controlling oneself over gambling is important as it helps manage once finances well and make right decisions with one’s finances.
