Did anyone watch Cejudo vs. Song fight? It was a terrible eyepoke, Henry's eye was bleeding and people were booing him, some fans are crazy.
Even though eyes poke was nasty, he wasnt much in agony and pain during post fight interview. Why not give him a huge pause, 5 minutes or so (like after a groin kick), have doctors checked his eye, deduct Song points and cut his payment later in Cejudo favour, and continue? If he really wanted to win, he would continue fighting even without an eye
I think one of his thoughts was to win this by disqualification.He was given a 5 minute break and the doctor checked him again. I think the doc sees his eyes isn't badly affected but he insist he couldn't see. He could be thankful the fight was decided to be stopped or else he would have been beaten badly. Song Yadong isn't a pushover, given a chance to knock Cejudo out, he'd find himself laying on the ground.
