So I propose to speculate a little bit more about Topuria vacating his belt. I have heard some info (possible fake), that from now, if a fighter goes to next division, he is forced to vacant his belt. Which means no more double champs. Those who managed to hold two belts have game achievements that can not be repeated. This rumour seems logical, as why jump from division to division in search for a more convenient opponent, when your division always have hungry for the belt fighters.Oh... Lol. Sorry.
But yeah it's a filler. But it's still one of those non PPV events with a main event that has title implications for the winner. As for this weekend's main event it's Kape that's being touted as the next in line for the title. But I'm not so sure.
People might be giving too much stock to Kape's fight vs Bruno Silva. Silva didn't really give Kape any problems in the wrestling department but Almabayev might. If he does take Kape down, it's gonna be all Almabayev for that round.As for the UFC having a rule to vacate the belt for moving weight classes, I think it's good for the other fighters as it won't hold the division anymore.
