I watched the Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid game yesterday in the first leg of their Copa Del Rey Semi-final and if you ask me, I totally agree with your submission that the result of the game did not do fully represent the performances of both teams on the pitch. Real Madrid were undoubtedly the dominant team and should've scored more goals in that game. Real Sociedad on their own was also showing strong mentality of team who weren't intimidated by the quality of players in Real Madrid which made them escape being thrashed. Despite Real Madrid's failure to win with wide margin, I strongly believe that they'll progress to the final when they host their opponents in the second leg of the tie
Even though Real Madrid won the match, I couldn't enjoy the game. My prediction was that Real Madrid was going to win the match or they had a high chance of winning. But I was waiting for that match just to see by how big a margin Real Madrid could win. But Real Madrid scored only 1 goal and that was the only goal of the match. I thought Real Madrid might score 3 or more goals.
I was a bit surprised by Real Sociedad's performance. They considered Real Madrid only as an opponent team. They didn't play scared on the field thinking Real Madrid was something extra. Maybe Real Sociedad can do something unexpected in the 2nd leg.
