But that is the point: there is no single "wallet address" - I use a different address for (almost) every "receive" transaction - the address used for sending could be *any* of those.

I dont get You mate. Sad
Do You have several different addresses in the same Bitcoin QT client Huh

Yes.

I use different "receive" addresses for different types of transactions - when money is sent to my wallet it *arrives* in one of those addresses.

When you *send* coins the client chooses one of those addresses (I think based on the coins that have been sent to it), but you cannot as the user "pre-define" which address it will use to send a given transaction.

Ok, i gotcha now.
In this case, dont send prior mail with the address and amount (since You dont know the address).

I just discussed this problem with DEV team, and they asked me to post here the so called "B" solution:

Use the "label" feature when sending the BTCs from ur QT client and paste ur email address, so the DEVS will receive the amount, and will see ur wallet adress and email address as well, so they will know who sent those BTCs. Later, when You'll have ur VMC wallet downloaded and have ur own VMC wallet address, You need to send that to DEVS via this email address !!!

It is for ur safety/security, as the blockchain.info is public, anyone can see ur transaction/amount and if that person is sending a mail to DEVS, that he is the sender, devs will give your VMC to that person Sad

So absolutely necessary to let the DEVS know about:
wallet address
amount of BTC
and email address

before (or at the same time) the transfer !
