The governments that seek to regulate it haven't done their homework. And a case study is my country's government. They were quick to ban bitcoin trasactions, they were quick to create their on centralized coin, they were quick to make a lot of silly decisions. I don't mean they should just accept bitcoin but, form a group of the brightest minds in the country and give them a task to study bitcoin in its entirety and give a recommendation at the end. This was my expections but they didn't do it and quickly cancelled bitcoin and other crypto transactions.
