Though monero performed well as you mentioned, I do see much potential in the coin. This coin does not even gets mentioned much on places like reddit. LTC on the other hand can be good choice. I have seen some transactions personally being requested with LTC transfer.
You do not see Monero mentioned often on platforms such as Reddit because Monero does not exist for hype and pumps. It exists for an actual use case. And like anything else that is actually useful in life, nobody cares about it and everybody gets lost in details and products that do not matter and are useless.
More over, due to Litecoin not being a private Blockchain and still being generally accepted in markets and shops that accept a few other Cryptocurrencies besides Bitcoin, a lot of people avoid using Monero out of fear of getting interrogated, banned or having their funds seized by centralized exchanges. This CAN happen if you are using Monero and while I believe it is abuse and a strong reason to avoid centralized exchanges entirely, I see why some people rather not use it at all. After all, what is even the point in using Monero if every other thing you are using is centralized and traceable.
