There is a big problem in that game. Atletico is not Manchester City man. They are better than Manchester City and with the way they are playing they might be the team to eliminated Real Madrid from the competition. Sometimes i get to pity for Real Madrid because they have faced stronger opponents than most of the team currently in the UCL. Even in difficult stages they get to play a very strong competitor.
Yes for now I agree. I still catch myself mistaking Manchester City from 2020... with 2025. It's a whole different world and it is not about some low that they are going through. They are not on the same level anymore. It's over in the sense that they seemed to be invincible. Back then whenever an underdog played against them, nobody would ever have the idea to bet against Manchester City. Actually it would be quite interesting to see how the betting numbers changed. Of course odds spew the occurrence of different behaviors here, but still I think there is a statistical significance discernible beyond what is just driven by the odds. Bettors believe that it is worth the odds to bet against them even when they are a bit lower (worse) than expected. It's not a good sign and Atletico Madrid right now is on a higher level, that's what I agree with.
