But even this impressive work won't be enough for a back-to-back title most probably. Bayern Munich are really difficult to be stopped in the Bundesliga. Even Leverkusen couldn't beat them home despite playing completely one-sided. The gap is 8 points. But I must say I really admired Leverkusen's game against Frankfurt. As long as Xabi Alonso stays for longer years I don't think Leverkusen will drop down from being a serious title contender. Another thing I wonder is whether they will lose their best players this summer (such as Wirtz etc.).
While Leverkusen's condition at the beginning of the season was quite weak, especially in their defense line which was quite down, with the number of goals conceded at that time.
