For Al Nassr, I had already concluded that they're not a strong candidate to win the Saudi Pro League this season long time ago because current league leaders Al Ittihad is on a very good form and doesn't look like a team that would allow anyone to beat them to the league title this season but I was still hoping that Al Nassr will at least finish in the top two of the league after Jhon Duran arrived the club. Their latest result against Al Orobah now puts that prediction of mine is serious doubt because of Al Qadisiyah should win their home game against Al Riyadh today, they'll gap Stefano Pioli's men with 3 points leaving them to in a position lesser than top three.
Can they still finish the season in top two to qualify for a place in the AFC Champions League next season? I wish they can but I also doubt they will.
Al Nassr have long been eliminated from the competition for trophies, and it seems they will not be able to secure a ticket to the AFC Champions League next season. Al Ittihad is favored as a strong candidate for this season trophy, with Al Hilal likely to secure the runner-up position.
Al Qadsiah is this season dark horse, as no one expected them to compete at the top of the standings. If Al Hilal falters, it is very possible that Al Qadsiah will overtake their position in the future. Regarding Al Nassr, what they should be thinking about now is how to maintain their position in fourth place, as Al Ahli currently has the same number of points as them.
