I done see a reason why a casino would demand for those things in other to verify your KYC. Unless it's a local casino that's only based on your region but still it's kind of ridiculous to demand a shot with news paper on your hands just verify your address. However it would be kind of complicated if the casino had requested for the KYC while making withdrawal instead of request for it immediately you signed up . Some of these casinos are scammers which means you must be careful the ones you deal with.
It's not really a big deal, it's Something that's very necessary for some countries because they're trying to comply with the regulatory measures to a more effective KYC requirements.
KYC requirements can be very challenging for most of us but financial institutions needs to balance security, efficiency and accuracy of user experience.KYC May be ridiculous but it's plays a crucial role in preventing illegal activities and alterations.
Thats the real purpose of KYC and since we do have that governing bodies on which they are the ones whose responsible about handling out the country or community on which they would really be trying out to regulate on things on what they should do. They are really just that following on whats been mandated and as a business then you wont really be that trying to oppose on what the government be set out. For a gambler then you wont really be having any choice whether they will really that complying those KYC or they would really be finding up for another place or platform on which they are really that comfortable on dealing with. If they ahve that set out that have been that excessive requirements on KYC then there's nothing you can do but to comply and if not then you do really know on what would happen next. So it will really be that up to you on how you would be dealing up with things accordingly.
