Lately, seems like Borussia Dortmund has picked up form a bit. They have won 3 games out of their last 5 matches and losing 2 out of it. Currently, they are in the 10th position in the league standings and the difference between them and the team who's 4th is just 6 points, if they win most of their games in this remaining part of the season, they will likely make top 4 which will definitely be a good season for them considering all they have being through in most parts of the season.
3 wins 2 losses - I don't even know if this is a positive dynamic for Dortmund.
I don't understand why people keep saying that they are back because they won 3 games!
It's even worse when you look at whom they beat:
St Pauli , Union, Heindenheim
Lost to Stuttgart and Bochum.
So they won against teams placed 14th, 15th and 18th and lost against the 9th and 16th.
How can you brag by winning against two teams that haven't got a single win in the last 5 games anyhow?
Way too many look here at the 5 rounds record without actually checking whom they played in those rounds.
I think it's simple, before these 5 games Dortmund scored one point in 4 games. I think you'll agree the difference is noticeable - 1 point in 4 games or 9 in 5. Moreover, the strength of the opponents in this case is not important - everyone is used to the fact that Dortmund does not fall below a certain level and must regularly score points. An additional factor is the unexpectedly easy success in the 1/16 Champions League, where the result was achieved already in the first game (and away).
