Marseille started the season on a very impressive note which made me and many others consider as a team that'll strongly challenge Paris Saint Germaine's dominance in the French league but unfortunately, they couldn't keep up with their early good start. Yesterday's win against Nantes didn't come as a surprise to me because I don't see a struggling Nantes come to Stade Vélodrome and get a result.
For Paris Saint Germaine, it's obvious that no other French team is formidable enough to challenge them for the league title so I don't even think it's a debate for now. Hopefully, we're going to see a team in the French league that'll strongly challenge the dominant people of the reigning champions but until then, we'll continue to live with Luis Enrique's hold of the league
Marseille and Monaco are teams that should be able to try to challenge PSG who dominate Ligue 1. Their performance is not consistent every season, they are sometimes very good at the beginning of the season but then weaken in the middle of the season.
When the time comes there is one or several teams that then develop very quickly and become PSG's challengers in the future, then Ligue 1 will definitely be even more exciting.
At this time, with PSG's dominance, at least we can continue to bet on PSG who are undefeated this season. Maybe PSG will win Ligue 1 with an undefeated record.
