Only 3 points difference between Real Madrid and Barcelona at the top of the standings, in 2nd place is Atletico Madrid who are also trying to get a golden opportunity to win the title.
This is a very tight competition, so it will be difficult to predict. The remaining matches are also still enough to change the current position, so everything can still allow something to happen that they have to be shifted from each other.
All teams in the Laliga has 12 more matches to play except for Villarreal and Espanyol who have an outstanding match amongst themselves (postponed) making theirs 13 more games to play. Barcelona as rightly said can't bank on 3 and 1 point difference ahead of Madrid and Atletico. The competition is still active as things can change even on the last game of the season, the only added advantage Barcelona has is their goal difference which is 16 goals ahead of Madrid and 19 goals ahead of Atletico.
But going by performance Barcelona has been so incredibly active in their consistency as compared to the other two clubs behind them. Their last 6 games has been straight wins making them even stronger and fit for the title race. By next week they should take up Atletico in the Laliga this should be another opportunity for them to give Atletico some gap as the keep the title race in view that is after they are done settling scores with Osasuna on Saturday.
