Questions for Discussion:
1) How can African governments and private sector actors mitigate the impact of USAID funding cuts?
They would have to seek other means of accessing funds. They can also cut their operational costs by reducing staff and adopting modern technology.

2) What alternative sources of funding should African nations explore to sustain development efforts?
Africa doesn't need any funds from donors if they can cut corruption. There are enough resources to finance its project. So, all they should do is to cut corruption and other wastes. But they could seek finance through loans, grants, or other sources.

3) In what ways can regional cooperation help reduce dependence on external aid?
Europe has now come together and pledged to increase its defense budget. They have also decided to protect Ukraine as the US has paused its aid to the war-torn nation. Africa can do the same by fostering regional cooperation. The first step should be Visa-free entry for all African countries to aid corporations. The African Union should do the talk and stop behaving like a toothless bulldog.

4) How might these funding cuts affect Africa’s relationship with other international donors, such as China or the European Union?
Africa would have to seek other partnerships from China, Russia, and the EU since the US has decided not to play its big brother role. We will have to review our diplomatic relations with the US because it is no longer beneficial.

5) What innovative strategies can African entrepreneurs and businesses adopt to remain resilient amid reduced international support?
They should go to China, India and the Asian Tigers and learn how they were able to succeed. China is the second largest economy and will be willing to become Africa's biggest partner.
