Two seasons ago Arsenal performed well and always got second place in the standings with Man City dominating. And this season when Man City was down, they did not take advantage of it well. Instead,d it is a great opportunity for Liverpool to lead now.
Next season Arsenal may have to make changes to improve their performance and also their level of consistency throughout the season. If Man City next season returns to its good form, coupled with Liverpool it will certainly be difficult for Arsenal to compete.
Manchester City is not playing well this season which is why Arsenal played very well matches and got good position which give them a good win. It was a loss for them because they had a good chance to win the match and collect their points to strengthen themselves but it definitely hurt Manchester City's performance which benefited Arsenal a little bit but they should have taken full advantage of it. It is a better opportunity if they take full advantage of it otherwise Manchester City and other teams will not give it. If they play strong, they won't need anything if they play defensively and work hard and change their style of play. Arsenal are a strong and hardworking team, they need to strengthen themselves and improve their position. Given the same, I think Manchester City will make a comeback, which should be enough interest next season.
If Man City improves next season, and Arsenal is still like this without any changes and updates in their squad, I think Arteta will start to have difficulty competing. Moreover, the competition is not only with Man City, but there are other teams like Liverpool who will also do better next season.
Liverpool might win the Premier League trophy, and it is possible that next season they will have the same target for the Premier League. Although there is a possibility that the competition will be tighter if Man City can be better next season.
