Does it also work when you keep the coins on an exchange like Cryptsy? Or you need to have the coins in the AC wallet on your PC?

If you have your AC on an exchange they do not give you interest or staking, it would be possible the exchange could get staked amounts if they keep coins stagnant in the their exchange wallet for 2+ weeks but you would never see these reflected on your exchange balance.
