Manchester City having a bad season doesn't mean that they should be losing to Nottingham, plus they are not that far away, if they win, then there is a chance that City could maybe finish third place, that is not a bad deal at all. The top, Liverpool, is basically settled at this point and we can say Arsenal is guaranteed a second place unless something major shifts.
But, the third fourth and fifth place battle is still going on and that is fun for the time being. Sure in 10 years time nobody will remember the fourth place or anything like that, but we should be looking at this as fun for the season itself, until the summer. The team that wins this game will get a much better future, and it would be a big advantage for them.
Although Arsenal looks safe in second place but still, if Manchester City is in third place by beating and overtaking Nottingham later. Then I am sure, Manchester City will then have a chance to overtake Arsenal too, because I personally still think it seems like Arsenal will experience some bad results in other matches later. At the same time, Manchester City who will only focus on the Premier League, then it is very possible that Manchester City will get consistent wins that allow Manchester City to overtake Arsenal. But even if that scenario does not happen, it certainly will not be a bad result for Manchester City who still managed to finish in third place in this difficult season.
