$10 a dozen is just 83c a pop.
You can eat aa jumbo egg (fried or boiled) and be satisfied as far as not hungry for a few hours.
so, even at $10 (yes, it is a high price) it is somehwet manageable.
In Houston, even free-range chicken premier eggs are $7.5-8/dozen, so "just" 67c/egg.

A large two-egg omelet is, therefore $1.34+ cost of cheese, etc, so probably within $2-a hearty breakfast.
Not a big deal, right?
