The competition issue this year is really helping Liverpool, I checked a few previous seasons and almost always the 2nd (sometimes 3rd) place in the Premier League after 28 rounds had more than 60 points. Now even if Arsenal win their next game they will only have 57 points. The closest season that was similar to this was 20-21 when after 28 rounds the 2nd place was United (lol) with 54 points.
The Epl this season has been one ironic one where can say even the top four teams as not be consistent to be frank but at least Liverpool still doing better than others especially against the Gunners who I thought might be the favourite this season since Manchester City are having an unfortunate spare thus season.
But above this, I don't think other domestic leagues can criticise or judge the EPL for their lower points in comparison to past years. EPL teams are still doing well in the UEFA competition, if they can go far this is a good thing or regulations
Success in European cups is a separate topic, besides now it is the first stage of the playoffs, so it is too early to judge. The question of competitiveness is the question of the interest of the league. If we already know the winner of first and second place (as in the Bundesliga or the Premier League now), then there is not much interest in watching the games, as they turn into local confrontations.
