My question is where do we miss it and what can be done?
I hate to say this, but the truth is, tracking our way back to how things used to be is almost nearly impossible due to the level of concentrated corruption in the system already. The bad has now become far more than the good, so the whole recovery process might just be a waste of time.
The country didn't just go bad in one day. It was a gradual process (like a radioactive decay). And what even saddens me is that we all are looking for just one single man that will truly have Nigerians at heart, which might not even happen. One single person can not factory reset all the shit that has been happening even before he was born.
Tribalism, illiteracy and poverty has eaten the people so dip that they can't even tell between good and evil. Though, I have just one solution, but trust me, it's a very crazy one that no one will accept (including myself). I can't really spit it out because it is strongly against democracy. I just despise talking about all these problems because it makes me sad and gets me angry at the same time.
