Maybe it would be more cost-effective to convert one of your altcoin mining sheds to a chicken coop and sell eggs instead? You don't have to let them run free but you can charge more money for them if you do 
raising chickens for eggs is the organic version of asic mining for coin now. as chickens are more profitable at the moment
