Bitcoin didn't shield El Salvador from disruptions in the world economy, it didn't enrich its citizens, it didn't protect it from foreign corporations plundering its resources for cheap etc.
I'm sure Bitcoin enriched citizens who became long term adopters, just like it happened in another countries. The point is that only very few individuals went through that route, while most remained skeptical and fearful on Bitcoin.

So what's the lesson here? Maybe Bitcoin doesn't work at the State level. Yet by Trump's sayings we're going to see the same in the US with a sovereign fund in crypto...
Bitcoin didn't work at State level due to many negative influences and interests around, but it works nicely on the individual sphere. Bitcoin is an individual choice which brought huge returns for those who are into this universe for several years.

About Trump, he has already reached where he desired. Bitcoin was one of the tools he needed in order to do so, although he doesn't need it anymore, so don't expect any effort from him on this matter.

Don't expect anything from governments. Do your part the best as possible and be proud of your personal results. After all, that was how Bitcoin was designed to be used at first glance.
