Every season, we are almost always sure that Paris Saint Germain will come out as the winner and it seems that this season they are already leading by a long distance, so they can claim the title even before the league is really over. Honestly, this is boring because there is no pressure at all. I myself don't mind if Paris Saint Germain can win the title every season, as long as there is competition that makes them work even harder. What we see now, they have almost no burden at all because they are so comfortable at the top of the standings.
The ligue 1 has become an almost stress free win for PSG over a good number of years and I believe it's one of the reasons some persons no longer see it like a league that is competitive anymore because it now feels very predictable that you could just predict that PSG will win the title and just like this season even before we got passed half the season they were already leading with a very large point gap enough to confirm that they have got all the winning chances for the title this season. Except PSG loose some of their mainstay players or any other team in the ligue 1 gets a better squad, most likely this may continue for another period of years. So if they continue like this, then
More boring years ahead for ligue 1 except otherwise.
Ligue 1 has lost its popularity long ago only because of PSG single handedly winning the league title for the last few seasons. PSG's performance in Ligue 1 is as if they have no plans for this league. There is no reason to plan. PSG is ahead of the other teams in the league in all aspects. There is no need for extra planning. We always consider PSG as an auto choice regardless of the team against PSG. If any other team could compete equally with PSG then the popularity of this league would have increased much more. Since PSG does not need any extra planning or extra pressure with the local league then it is relatively easy for this team to do well in other tournaments but we don't see PSG doing very well in other tournaments as well as they do in Ligue 1.
