Manchester United stats in the UEFA Europa League competition this season I think strongly suggests that they're a serious contender for the trophy but when you also consider how they've been faring in domestic competitions, you begin to have doubts on the possiblity of an European trophy for Ruben Amorim's men this season. That said, we've seen teams have a poor campaign in their domestic leagues but go on to finish the season with an European trophy so we just hope that that will be Manchester United's story at the end of the current season

Everything is possible in football, but I am not confident in Manchester United's chances this season. Which of the players would they use to qualify for the Europa League Final? Manchester United's available players are rubbish; they contribute nothing to the team. Of course, many clubs struggle in their main leagues yet do well in European tournaments. For example, Sevilla league record was poor in the last two seasons, finishing 12th, but they won the Europa League championship since they are always good when it comes to the Europa.

Manchester United remains the only unbeaten team in this competition; despite their poor league record, their performances appear to be steady in Europa. Manchester United next match against Real Sociedad will be tough to predict at this stage because Sociedad's performance is not much better than Manchester United's, United has only had more injured players, and Amad, who they depend on this season, has been out due to injury.
You're right, just look at Sevilla's Europa League dominance despite being garbage in La Liga. Still, Manchester United is not Sevilla. With a patched-up roster, United is barely surviving; their striker is either totally AWOL (Chido Obi cannot even play in Europa) or misfiring (Zirkzee, Højlund); defensively, their backline is barely holding

Their best hope? Bruno Fernandes is a workhorse in the midfield; Garnacho injects some chaos on the wing; maybe Casemiro/Evans/Lindelof defying Father Time in defense. Amorim has inherited a fractured squad, and United is more likely to go out without major tactical discipline than "do a Sevilla"

Real Sociedad isn't much better; but, at least they have Kubo, Oyarzabal, and Zubimendi, real useful players in their system. United? Their best asset is probably their "never-say-die" streak in the Europa League: 8 games unbeaten. Real Sociedad, meanwhile, is the mirror image of United, with less injuries and a coach more comfortable with his team
