With 10 minutes to go, Barcelona still leads 1-0 against Benfica despite Pau Cubarsi being sent off in the 22nd minute.
Scoring the only goal (so far) and dominating in possession despite being down to ten men shows a difference in levels between those two teams.
Barcelona is the team I am most impressed with for the first leg of this round. Madrid impressed me yesterday by winning Atleti, but Barcelona outdid themselves today.
From the 22nd minute, they played with 10 men and did not concede a goal for the remainder of the game, even scoring the only goal of the match away from home. That's next-level football.
They didn't fully defend or pack the bus, they attacked and defended as a team and played really well. This is a very impressive performance and I'm very proud of them. After the red card, I felt the least they can get is a draw but they proved me wrong.
I'm surprised to see no goals in PSG Vs Liverpool. I expected Liverpool to win, but if the game ends with a 0-0 draw, that's still favourable results for the Reds, as away goals no longer counts as a tie-breaker. So it will all be decided at Anfield next week.
Liverpool managed to win and in my opinion, they have made it to the next round because I strongly believe they will not lose at anfield and as long as they don't lose, they will qualify.
