If they were helping, at least it would have calm the inflation rate a little but it's not, to help doesn't means that when they just say something or put up a new law and in few days they announce that inflation has reduced by x percent but on the next announcement they'll make after then, you will discover that the rate has gone higher than before, that's not help. To help the situation, people should not only rely on one source of income because it probably might not be enough to support all your financial wants and desires.

The government are ment to put to things in order but they are always trying to solve issues that are not pressing issues and they keep solved those issues for a long time and when you talk of fraudsters the government are very good at scamming everyone thing they are the best.

If you look at how the prices of things are getting out of hand and when they are suppose to be polices guiding everything because to some extent the people are the main problem of what we are going through and if there are no polices then there will not be orderliness because everyone will be doing what they want. And for them to be able to archive they will have to subsidize before there police can work so the government really need to do something.
