But that depends on Trump, and there isn't a "prolonged war" if Democrats win in 2028, they would just remove it, and 4 years is nothing, Canada can wait that long. It would only become a problem if a Republican wins and keeps the tariffs.

The US Congress and the American people will not tolerate Trump's antics for the entire four years of his presidency. Events will unfold very quickly. 16 states have already sued Trump over his illegal executive orders, and there are mass protests in 50 states against Trump and his team. If Trump does not smarten up soon and stop committing hostile acts against his neighbors and allies, he will be carried out of the White House. The only difference is whether he is feet first or not.

when a congress-person gets $175k from salary of congress.. but they have their fingers in lots of different pies getting extra income from the treasury from certain programs and schemes, .. and those schemes earn congress people millions.. but that funding is now being stopped. ofcourse the greedy people will be angry.. ofcourse they will want to stop trump from removing their milking machine of greed

well if they cant live on just $175k and do the job they put themselves forward to do (just being a congress person) then they should quit
if they have enough time to be a congress-person and then do all these other income stream stuff.. then they are not doing their congress job fully

imagine being a congress person representing a constituency
Quote from: google
The duties carried out by a Member of Congress are understood to include representation, legislation, and constituent service and communication,
but you dont have time to communicate with your constituents. you are not always at the capital to vote in legislation. because you are too busy money shuffling treasury money to different schemes and taking a cut... then you need to resign

as for law suits
some of the lawyers advising congress are not doing it for the benefit of citizens. the lawyers just want a pay day, and they get a pay day win or lose
if they lose they get paid by the states treasury. if they win they get paid by the fed treasury. to a lawyer they get paid no matter the result. but they only get paid if they work and by that i mean they file lawsuits. so the more lawsuits they fine the more they get paid

once you learn all the scheming greedy people who treat both state and national treasury as their personal piggybank they can raid, the sooner you realise who needs to be cut
