Overtime online gambling has become very popular, many people prefer to use websites and apps to bet on their favorite sports and casino games. This has made gambling very convenient and easily accessible, it's actually why people get addicted to it. Anyone who has a smartphone won't see the need of going to a bet center to gamble. The world has gone digital, but is this causing more harm than good?. land based casinos and bet shops require you to leave your house but online gambling is available, people can gamble from the comfort of their home whenever and however they want. This has made a lot of people addicted, some started by staking low amounts but overtime they found themselves gambling with large amounts of money. Easy access to gambling websites can make it harder to stop and this might lead to a serious issue. Most people think they are in Control of theirself or just playing to have fun but they don't notice that it's turning into an habit. Online gambling has made more addicts than offline gambling.
both online and offline gambling all have the potential to make people addicted. no doubt that online gambling can lead to serious addiction because it is done behind closed doors where you play alone and eventually if you lose you will still need to fund your account again and again till you may get exhausted and tired plus being aggressive. but then this is usually done because of the fact that it is done by mobile phone. now what about those that dont have mobile devices? so they will have no option than to play offline and they may set boundaries since they don't have mobile device to use and bet. so surely this addiction happens under some circumstances which is having what will lead to addiction like mobile phone.
