Never knew it was associated with religion lmao. Anyway I'd only ever consider an activity as a gambling one (the regular one that people do) is when its involved with money. If it's not, technically you can call it a "gamble" but it's pretty distinct from what the regular definition of it is. If we assume anyway that all gambling that involves decision making by leaving it up to randomness then we're all gamblers and are all involved in said vice, so yeah, we don't define it just by "an activity with a random decision making process". Gotta involve money first.
