Now they are going into some dangerous territory because it is still AC Milan and if they miss the Champions League qualification, I am sure that would be a huge problem for them. They have qualified for the Champions League for the last four or five years I think and I believe the team has the quality to play there. Yet they are now at risk of missing the entire UEFA qualifications and it looks like they would not be able to make the Conference League...
There has been a decline for AC Milan this season and it looks much worse for the Serie A competition and if the current poor form is not improved then it is very likely that next season AC Milan will not be playing in the Champions League or the Europa League. AC Milan have been going downhill for a few seasons and this season looks much worse, even though if you look at the quality of the players they have it is not much different from the last few seasons. There needs to be a big evaluation for AC Milan and if it is not done soon then they are in danger of qualifying for the Champions League or the Europa League next season and that is very detrimental for them.
I would say that is mainly because of the manager. Milan isn't that much of a bad team, but they hired someone else over as well. Last season they had Pioli and they assumed Pioli was bad and they just fired him, and hired Fonseca which was a decision that many thought wasn't good enough, sacking Pioli is understandable but hiring Fonseca didn't look like an improvement at all.
When he started to do badly then, they fired him a few months ago and just got Conceicao instead, and he didn't suddenly became better neither, he is doing not so good as well. Fans are expecting them to hire a big name, pay a big amount of money, like 10+ million a year, and hire some superstar name for managerial position because that would make them better.
