Another important reason for the negative effects is that if students are active on social media with their mobile phones instead of studying, it will have a significant negative impact on their careers. However, most students are currently so addicted to making TikTok and Instagram Reel videos that they completely skip their studies and stay active on social media.
the worse thing that can happen to you during exams preparation is to get yourself buried up inside social media that it becomes difficult to even come out from it. like on tiktok for instance, the plan is always to spend like five minutes on few videos and then the five minutes turns ten and then twenty and then an hour and before you notice it, you can only come out when you have exhausted your subscription. the addictive nature of social media is often overlooked but it has done far more harm that some of the addictive things that we are used to.
It is always like that. Once you start viewing one thing that's how progressive they begin to start scrolling up and down, from page to page. Before you know they have spend more than an hour on social media. The thing is that user experience is so addictive. And algorithm kept feeding them what they like most that is why they find it difficult to live the app. At some point in my life i have to delete all my social medias because i was actually learning a skill then and it was very difficult to have them on my phone. The only thing i had on my phone was YouTube and because i was learning tutorials there.
