Dear Eclipt Community Members,
We are excited to announce that we have successfully released an updated version of our protocol, designed to enhance ASIC resistance. Our team has worked diligently to modernize the mining algorithm, making coin mining more fair and accessible for GPU owners. Specialized ASIC devices will no longer be able to gain significant advantages over regular miners.
What has changed?
New Hashing Algorithm:
We have modified the base Scrypt algorithm by incorporating dynamic parameter adjustments and enhanced validations. This makes it more difficult to develop ASIC hardware and reduces the risk of hash rate centralization.
Block Structure Optimization:
Updated header and transaction formats have been implemented, increasing the network’s reliability and improving block verification.
Why should you update your wallets?
Compatibility with the New Protocol Version:
Older wallets may not process blocks and transactions correctly, as we have altered some of the internal logic and formats.
Security:
The updated wallet includes the latest vulnerability fixes and optimizations, helping to prevent forks and enhancing network stability.
New Addresses:
Changes in the code affect the address generation system (prefix version and checksum verification). Therefore, we strongly recommend generating new addresses and using them for future operations.
How to Update:
Backup: Save a backup of your current wallet.
Download: Get the latest version of the wallet from our official repository.
Install: Install the updated wallet, ensuring that old blockchain files and configurations do not conflict with the new version.
Generate New Addresses: On first launch, generate new addresses and transfer your coins to them for proper operation.
We thank all community members for your support and cooperation! This update is intended to ensure equal conditions for miners, enhance network security, and strengthen trust in Eclipt. If you have any questions, please reach out through our official support channels.
