Question to the participants - how many of you have switched to a Chinese copy of GPT chat , or are you using tried and trusted solutions that you can trust ?
My one week experience with DeepSeek did not give me any visible advantages of this system over others, but definitely showed its disadvantages.
Tested a areas of IT from administration and system configuration to development.

I was doing research work of my MS thesis last year and ChatGPT helped me a lot in completing my research specially the coding part. DeepSeek was not launched at that time. My little experience with DeepSeek so far has revealed that in terms of performance ChatGPT is still ahead of DeepSeek. We can give leverage to DeepSeek since it's new in the AI market compared to ChatGPT. In initial days of launch, may be ChatGPT also has similar perormance. The end user today has lot of free options to chose from and to be first choice DeepSeek has to improve it's performance.

I've been following the AI market since the release of ChatGPT and use it in my day-to-day work (IT, development).
Of course, I tested and tried to use DeepSeek as well, but as I wrote earlier - I didn't notice any advantages, but found clear disadvantages. I am not ready to confirm the words that DeepSeek used a set of pre-trained training data from ChatGPT “stock”, but the gap in the relevance of the data is very noticeable. From the point of view of reasoning - DeepSeek did not impress me either, because there is experience of practical work with claude, for example, where the quality of reasoning, work with the support of dialog chronology and data, is noticeably higher.
