I don't understand why a software like Amory is still promoted. Using it instead of a vanilla bitcoin wallet was one of the biggest mistakes in my life.

Choose Your Wallet" list?
I'm not against nor support it but you may create a pull request here:
github.com/bitcoin-dot-org/Bitcoin.org/pulls containing the changes in the code and a strong point about why it should be removed from the recommended wallet list.
If you can't make any edits in the website's code, post it as a 'Feature Request' issue in the "
Issues" tab instead.
The owner of the website will decide if it's reasonable enough.
To export in into "electron", it is my undersanding that you have to have armory up and running. Good luck with that.
In your last try to run it in Windows VM, launch Armory with
--offline command line arg and it will start without trying to launch Bitcoin Core or sync.
Then you can proceed to restore the wallet from the backup and export its private keys.
