Rangers were faster and couldn't win because of that. Mourinho likes his teams to have a good defense, but Fenerbahce doesn't have that, he hasn't been able to achieve that yet, maybe he didn't have enough time for that, or maybe he wants to change something. I know that Mourinho had high hopes for the Europa League, now it looks like Fenerbahce has no chance to fix anything in the return match, since the two-goal difference will be very difficult to make up.
In fact, Fenerbahçe has made some good additions to their squad recently. I mean to the defense line. But they have been facing a serious injury issue in this area unfortunately.
There is still a solid defender like Skriniar but this isn't enough. Maybe Mourinho needs to make some changes in his understanding of defense as of now. He must have seen the biggest weaknesses in the first leg.

They will need to take big risks to do that now.No matter how many new players being added to the Fenerbahce's squad, they will never improve. They are still having unsolved problem, which is related to their coach's strategy. I also aware about how horrible their coach subs.
I may be wrong, but they have to replace their coach if they wanna play better. I don't underestimate their current coach. Their coach lacked of creativity to try different srategy that can fit his club well. If they can sign a coach who can explor this, they can play better.
