I didn't like Fenerbahçe's game today, I expected much better from them. I think Mourinho didn't observe Rangers well enough. This score is embarrassing for them. They should have drawn at home at the worst. Now their quarter-final dreams are probably over. It's very difficult for them to score at least 3 goals and win in Scotland. They have so many good strikers but only Djiku (defender) scored.
Actually Fenerbahçe played better in the first half. But I think Rangers' physicality was better than Fenerbahce's physicality. Also, if Fred had been in this match, the quality of physical power would have been in a different balance. Mourinho makes his teams defend well. But in this game Fenerbahçe were very bad defensively. 2nd goal was embarrassing for Fenerbahçe in every sense of the word. Rangers had an easy win. I think they will be the favorites in the rematch. And I think there is very little chance for Fenerbahçe to go through to the next round.
I still can't understand how a team that is being managed by one of the most defensively conscious coach in Europe could suffer such a humiliating defeat in front of their home fans, even if they have to loose it didn't have to be against such a team, I can't see what's so special about Rangers that would warrant such a scoreline against Fernebache who had the home advantage.
Now it would be very difficult for Fernebache to find themselves back into this game in second leg because Rangers now have the home advantage and a two goals advantage which is as good as qualifying for the next round .
