This one caught me, It's now all over the Internet that President Putin has finally agreed to have a peace deal with The Ukrainian President
I think you have jumped the gun so to speak on this assumption. There is no peace deal yet, they
agreed to have talks. I cant find anything online to suggest when these talks will commence.
I wonder will there now a scramble to try and secure a slice of Ukraine's vast resources as part of
a peace deal? If the US is talking to Ukraine regarding this will Russia try to secure more for
themselves?
To me it is pretty obvious Ukraine is going to get the worst out of this deal and they are going to be pretty much mistreated because of the close relationships Trump seems to have with Putin.
First and foremost, Putin will try to get as much territory as possible from Ukraine and Trump won't have any problem with it, so Zelensky will have to either accept to give up land to Russia or continue to fight for their defense. On the opposite extreme of the table we have Trump and Musk, who are only interested on the natural resources or Ukraine for Tesla and other American companies to further enhance their productions of electronics and keep their industry going (with foreign raw materials, that is).
Both the USA and the Russian federation want to have a slice of the cake which Ukraine has become and nobody (but some countries in the European Union) are willing to step up and call out what is going on in these so called negotiation talks or pre-registration talks.
Ironically, all the money the USA will save by not longer helping Ukraine won't be used to take care of people who need medicare or live thanks to food stamps.
