Unfortunately Girona failed to win again, even though their opponent was a regular team. This season, their performance has declined again. The draw rsult only shared the point. In the last 4 matches, Girona's match results are really bad, 3 consecutive defeats and now only a draw, even though Girona is expected to be able to beat Espanyol because their position is very dominant during the match. They even have more than 60% ball possession. And just imagine, from 18 shots. only 1 goal went in. Girona's attack line since Dovbyk left has really dropped. Well, now Girona's position has been overtaken by Getafe who just beat Atletico Madrid yesterday.
Lol... I see you didn't watch that game from that " opponent was a regular team " They had a good home record which I cannot recall but it was still not damaged at the end of the night. They did press Girona hard and it was a though first half where chances weren't taken. The second half brought about a lovely goal from that counter attack. The goalscorer Jofre weigh his options and took that lovely shot outside of the eighteen yard box. Girona has seen two of their hit men leave one to Roma and the other to Manchester City. They're not doing so bad defensively but not all that good forward. The penalty awarded was also worth it.
